About 2 weeks ago, I was watching the show Shark Tank (surprisingly addicting) and a young girl (17) came on to talk about her company, Simple Sugars. I was very impressed with her story (she started the company at 11!!!!!) and decided to give her products a try. Well, I am glad I did!
I ordered a Pomegranate Body Scrub, a Green Tea face scrub, and a Green Tea face scrub for my husband (he tried it last night and although he refused to talk about how awesome it is, I could tell he liked it 🙂 The scrubs are created especially for sensitive skin, and even though I wouldn’t consider my skin overly sensitive, it’s still an amazing product! It is all natural, made with sugar and oils, to create a combination that leaves my skin feeling like a baby’s bottom every time. The sugar crystals are very small, so the scrub isn’t abrasive, and the oils moisturize the skin for a soft afterglow. When I say my skin is soft and glowing after a scrub, I mean it. I’ve always used St. Ives Apricot Scrub, but never again! The St. Ives scrub is to harsh to use daily, and it has a medical smell that I do not like. The Simple Sugars scrub does wonders to my skin, and I highly recommend it!
I’ve also noticed that after a scrub, I don’t need to apply moisturizer on my face or lotion on my body. I’ve been using moisturizer and lotion for so long that I’m not sure I’ll stop, but maybe a few times a week, I’ll skip the moisturizer and let the natural oils in the scrub do their thing.

I have tried the green tea facial scrub and two others from Simple Sugars. They are a bit expensive if you are someone who buys sugar scrubs on a regular bases for eczema like I am. really liked the green tea facial scrub. Though it was WAY to small for the price. There are many other organic scrubs that are cheaper. 100% Pure has some great scrubs plus you can find others online and in stores. I was an early order-er from Simple Sugars and found the staff rude and they would delete and block Facebook users from their page if you made a complaint. I guess it comes from immaturity. I do hope to give them another try if they get the products in stores in New York. I wouldn’t pay to ship again. It was really just too expensive a product for what you got. I do wish the best to Lani and the company. There are just too many other great scrubs out there that are a much better bargain.
